Chicago Bath House is a traditional bathhouse at 1914 W. Division Street in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. It has operated since 1906 and was renovated in 2011. The main feature is the banya, also called a schvitz or hot room, where heated stones create steam and bathers sit on tiered cedar benches. A cold pool and cold water taps are available for cooling off. Platza services with oak or birch brooms, soap scrubs and body scrubs are offered at separate prices. Day admission is $50 for adults and includes robes, towels and slippers. Sauna use is walk-in, and swimsuits are required in the coed facility. The building also houses a restaurant, full bar, lounge and tanning.
