Kume Float, which also operates Kume Botanical Head Spa, is a wellness spa on Grand Avenue in Oakland. Its sauna is a single-person cocoon pod that combines dry or infrared heat with a massage bed and aromatherapy, booked in 30 minute sessions. A red light add-on is available. The site lists the pod at 60 dollars standard or 45 dollars for members, plus a 5 dollar service charge that is waived for cash. Guests wear a swimsuit and towels are provided, but showers are only included with float appointments.
