Kabuki Springs & Spa is a Japanese-inspired bathhouse and spa in the Japan Center on Geary Boulevard in San Francisco's Japantown, operating since 1968. The communal baths include a hot pool, a cold plunge, a cedar-lined dry sauna, a steam room, and traditional seated and standing showers. Bath visits are by reservation only in 2.5 hour blocks, priced at $49, with extra time available for $25. Bathing is separated by gender on set days, with all gender days on Mondays and Tuesdays when swimsuits are required. Talking and electronics are restricted to keep the space quiet. The spa also offers massages, facials and body treatments, some of which can include bath access.
