Banya 5

Banya 5 is a social bathhouse at 217 9th Ave N in Seattle, open since 2004. The facility draws on Turkish hammam, Russian banya, Finnish sauna and Japanese bathhouse traditions. Guests book two-hour entries that include a locker, towels and sandals. The spa has a dry parilka heated with concrete and basalt brick, a Turkish steam room at 113 degrees, an 87 degree salt water pool, a cold plunge pool and a 103 degree hot pool. A tea lounge and movement room offer a place to rest between rounds. Massage, facials, salt scrubs and mud wraps are also available. Entry is by reservation only, guests must be 18 or older, and swimsuits are required. Regular entry costs 70 dollars plus tax, and VIP memberships are listed.
